Black Mountain, NC. Is The Pure & Proper the best restaurant in North Carolina? I think so. We had dinner there and really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Yes it is in an old gas station, but that is the charm. Their website – here. The owner sat us at our table in the basement and the server was his daughter. Very nice family.
Menu: The food is varied and very reasonable for the quality.
Cheese plate was amazing.
Brothless Ramen had a little kick.
Beautiful dishes!
The Brussels Sprouts are a home run and so different.
Black Mountain is a wonderful mountain town worth a trip with great shopping, dining and outdoors. Make sure you try The Pure & Proper when you visit. A reservation is definitely recommended.
