The golf course at River Run in considered challenging and in excellent condition. It hosted the Web.com Tour Finals in 2015 and 2016. There are extensive opportunities through the golf club to play competitively or socially.

River Run boasts the largest private tennis facility in the Lake Norman area with one of the best private tennis programs in the state. It features a roomy deck for lounging, 27-foot waterslides and a lazy river, as well as a wading pool for the little kids. There is a competitive swimming program which offers lessons and an opportunity to compete against other swimming clubs. The addition of the slides and lazy river have made River Run one of the top pools in the area. There are numerous opportunities to socialize through the pool.
