The top-ranked suburb of Charlotte is home to a combination of young professionals and growing families accounting for the population of 12,000. Nature preserves and several parks line the lake, and for those looking to wine and dine with a nautical theme and view, the North Harbor Club has outdoor patio seating, comfort food, and boat slips.
You may have tried these awesome desserts at Crazy Pig or The Egg. Now they have their own location in Davidson where we enjoyed Summit Coffee and Milkbread donuts through the pandemic. The former Wells Fargo drive through is transformed. Please support our local small businesses. Jily’s Current Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 4pm to 9pm or when sold out. Davidson, NC The Davidson Run For Green is back for its 16th year on October 2, 2021 supporting Davidson Lands Conservancy.
Come experience the Run For Green races! Our course is in the beautiful small town of Davidson, North Carolina. Be careful, though, it is so charming, you may just want to move! This year we are back in person for our 16th Annual Running Event. We could not be more excited to bring you the quality race that you have come to expect. Our course winds it’s way through lovely little neighborhoods with long stretches out in the woods on the greenway where you can take in the serenity of nature. Expect to encounter a hill or two, this is not what we would call a flat course. But, we will do our best to keep you motivated the whole way as you enjoy your run and the spirit of competition!

For our virtual events, we are offering two options, RUN ANYWHERE with RaceJoy – This means you can run on your own anywhere to complete one of three distance choices. You can run a 5k, a 10k, or a half marathon. Or you can run the events without RaceJoy. The beauty is that you can support the Davidson Lands Conservancy in their efforts to protect, explore, and support natural environments while running anywhere you want.
After you finish your run, you will easily be able to upload your results through RaceJoy or you can still do it the old fashioned way and send them to email@example.com if you don’t want to use RaceJoy.

Ok Davidson. We all love our town, but this housing market is crazy. Average home prices were up 37.8% over the past year (March to March). Months supply of inventory is 0.5 months. 6 months is balanced. This is a SELLERS market. Data Source: Canopy MLS
Want to test the market? Try an Allen Tate Firm Exclusive. No sign in your yard. No listing in MLS. Neighbors won’t have a clue. We just market your home quietly within Allen Tate. Given we are the #1 Real Estate Brokerage in the Carolinas we probably have a buyer who is desperate for a home and is willing to pay your price.

DFM’s prime market season is in full swing! With 36 vendors, the variety of foods and goods is vibrant as well as the operations of these local, small businesses. Its a sight to see and a testament to the fervor our surrounding area has for local, North Carolina products.
If you attended or missed last week’s market, I want to remind everyone about our temporary layout during construction on the new gathering space behind Summit Coffee. Here are a few things to know to make your shopping experience the fullest:
You can enter the market from multiple locations (there is not a designated entrance or exit to the market);
There are three rows of vendors: two in the Jackson Street parking lot and one in the grassy area next to Davidson Family Medicine;
You can access the third row from Jackson Street with our designated cut through and re-enter Jackson Street at the top near DFM’s shed and market tent;
If you’re looking for a specific vendor and can’t find them, you can ask one of our Green Team Volunteers (the folks in green shirts) or stop by DFM’s tent; and
Market hours are 9am – Noon.
Speaking of volunteers. It takes a lot of dedicated volunteers to help setup and takedown the farmers market every weekend. Their generous help is tremendous and Courtney and I are so grateful to work with such kind and fun people. If you would like to volunteer this Saturday or any weekend this year, you can sign up here or email Courtney directly to learn more about DFM’s Green Team.
See you all this Saturday, rain or shine!
