Location Update
Our Grande Finale Waldo Party is on Saturday, August 3rd at 11:00. The party has a new location – we’re moving it from the bookstore to the Davidson Farmers Market. In fact, the DFM has designated Aug. 3rd as Kids Day at the Market, so our Waldo party will be part of their market kids’ initiative. Thank you to the new market manager, Justin, for his enthusiastic reception of this shindig!
Party Itinerary
Main Street Books is collecting completed passports throughout July 31st.
Saturday, August 3rd at Davidson Farmers Market
10:00 Waldo Tent Opens:
Party check-in begins at the Waldo Farmers Market tent – kids come pick up their completed passport s and receive a raffle ticket (a completed passport earns a ticket).
Refreshments for kids who completed their passport – Gateau on Main is providing cupcakes!
Party Scavenger Hunt – Find Waldo’s key, Wenda’s camera, and Odlaw’s binoculars which are hiding with market vendors. Kids get a Waldo activity sheet every time they find a lost object.
Party souvenir – Waldo pencil printed with the lost objects from the party scavenger hunt.
11:00 Prize Drawings – at Summit stage
Eleanor Merrell, event coordinator at Main Street Books, will pull raffle tickets for each of the prizes ya’ll have donated – we have a record number of prizes this year!
*Live Waldo and Wenda will be in attendance at the party.
